Prince William and his new bride Catherine will tour North America for 11 days.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be coming to Canada followed by a Hollywood weekend, they will be starting their 11-day North American tour in Ottawa on June 30. The couple will be travelling with just seven staffs according to a statement from Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the couple's private secretary.
Among their small group of royal entourage will be Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, their private secretary, as well as James Pryce, one of the hairdressers who created Kate's wedding curls assistant private secretary Chris Keeley, press secretary Miguel Head, the Prince of Wales' press secretary, Patrick Harrison, an unnamed administrative assistant and Sir David Manning, an adviser to Kate and William who coached the then future-duchess in royal duties before her marriage.
The royal couple will touch down in Ottawa for Canada Day before heading to Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown, Yellowknife and Calgary, and then on to California.
The royal couple's travel itinerary is as follows:
June 30-July 2: The couple will Ottawa and Gatineau to participate in Canada Day celebrations
July 2: They will be in Montreal for the final Saturday of the Montreal Jazz Festival
July 3: The couple will spend the day in Quebec City, and continue to Charlottetown
July 3-4: They will stay in Charlottetown, where they may visit Anne of Green Gables attractions as Catherine is said to be a fan of the book
July 4: Summerside, PEI
July 4-6: Yellowknife
July 6-8: The couple will be in Calgary during The Calgary Stampede, but the Daily Mail says they likely won't attend the rodeo
July 8: William and Kate arrive early evening and are greeted by the British ambassador. They immediately take off for a UK trade and investment event. Later that evening, they attend a working reception at the consul-general's residence
July 9: The pair head to a charity event at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.
July 10: The couple attend a private event in support of Tusk USA. William is a patron of the UK's Tusk Trust, which promotes conservation in Africa.
While Prince William will be giving several speeches and addresses during their visit, royal watchers may be disappointed to know that Catherine will not be speaking publicly however, fashion-watchers will be keeping an eager eye out on the outfits she puts together. This is the Duchess' first tour.
