There was a small gesture of unity from Prince William and his brother Prince Harry during the committal service for their late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, according to a report.

Following the state funeral at Westminster Abbey in London Monday morning, a second ceremony was held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle that afternoon.

Footage shared by Entertainment Tonight showed that as they were settling in for the committal service, Prince Wiliam waved to his younger brother and his sister-in-law Meghan Markle.

The Prince of Wales appeared to invite them to come and be seated with him, his wife Kate Middleton and their two eldest children, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7. Their youngest child, 4-year-old Prince Louis, was not in attendance.

The Duke of Sussex nodded to Prince William in response before he and Markle joined them in the front row.

Earlier in the day, Prince Harry and Markle walked behind the Prince of Wales and his family for their arrival at the Queen's state funeral at Westminster Abbey. The members of the royal family were emotional as they gathered to bid a final farewell to the late monarch, who died at the age of 96 on Sept. 8.

However, the seating arrangements for the Queen's state funeral raised eyebrows online.

During Westminster Abbey service, Prince Harry and Markle were seated in the second row beside Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

They were seated behind King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, who sat in the front row with the Queen's other children as well as Prince William and Princess Kate.

Some royal fans speculated that the seating arrangement was a snub to Prince Harry and Markle as Prince Andrew, non-working royal Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall were seated in the front row with the King and Queen Consort.

However, an unnamed source at Buckingham Palace denied the speculation, telling The Daily Beast Monday that "the order was approximately age order but trying not to split families up."

This came after Prince William reportedly reached out to Prince Harry earlier this month and invited his younger brother and Markle to join him and Middleton in greeting mourners on a joint walkabout outside Windsor Castle on Sept. 10. It marked the first time in two years that the four royals made a public appearance together.

Following her state funeral and committal service, Queen Elizabeth II was buried alongside her late husband, Prince Philip, at the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle Monday evening, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

The palace also paid tribute to the Queen on social media, sharing a photo of her enjoying the great outdoors alongside the message, "'May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.' In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen. 1926 - 2022."
