Anticipation has been mounting over Prince William and wife Kate Middleton’s upcoming royal tour to India and Bhutan. The best local dishes would definitely be presented during the trip and a latest report has revealed the royal couple’s thoughts on Indian food.

Indian food has been known for its rich blend of spices where some local dishes may be on the spicy side. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will soon discover the true taste of authentic Indian cuisine during their upcoming royal tour. British fashion model Neelam Gill, who has Indian roots, has shared a conversation she had with royal mother-of-two, E! News reported. Gill was one of the attendees during a recent reception held at the Kensington Palace for young people that were studying or working in Britain.

She recounted that the Duchess of Cambridge has told her about her love for Indian food during the said event. However, it appears that Prince William does not share in his wife’s Indian food preference. Gill stated that the Duke of Cambridge admitted to having “struggles with the spices.” Prince William may need to be careful with his food choices and intake during the upcoming trip.

Meanwhile, Prince William has also shared with the guests during the said Kensington Palace event that he has been looking forward to visiting Mumbai because of its warm weather, as stated in the same report. He commented on Mumbai’s temperature which he stated would be “about 35 degrees.” The Duke of Cambridge added that he has had “enough of winter time” and wanted to “get away.”

Prince William and Kate’s upcoming royal tour to India and Bhutan will start on April 10 until April 16. During the trip, the royal couple will leave their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte at home in Anmer Hall. Nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo is expected to have prepared play dates and activities to keep the two children entertained. Online messaging tools such as Skype would also play a critical part in keeping the royal parents in touch with their children.

Apart from nanny Borrallo, grandmother Carole Middleton is also expected to be on call to help care for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
