Prince William, Kate Middleton Step Out For Glam Date; Duchess Recycles Gown
Prince William and Kate Middleton recently stepped out together to attend a gala for one of the prince's charities.
On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a night out together at the Tusk Conservation Awards which was held at Banqueting House in London. Middleton stunned in her teal floor-length Jenny Packham gown, People reported.
The duchess' outfit was not new. She was first seen wearing it six years ago. Middleton wore the bejeweled dress to kick off the London 2012 Olympic celebrations at The Royal Albert Hall. For their latest outing, the royal mom of three styled her hair in her signature bouncy blowout style.
Prince William and Middleton were introduced to the nominees of the annual awards and to the supporters of the conservation charity. The duke is an active supporter of Tusk and announced it to be one of his formal patronages in 2005.
It is the first time for Middleton to attend the awards gala in several years. She didn't make it last year as she was still pregnant with Prince Louis. She first attended the event in September 2013, which marked her public evening event after delivering her oldest son, Prince George.
Tusk has been at the forefront of fighting the illegal wildlife trade and the annual Tusk Conservation Awards marks the achievements of the amazing individuals who protect Africa's natural heritage.
In September, Prince William flew to Africa for Tusk Trust. Middleton didn't join him because according to Christina Reeves, the couple opts to go alone when it comes to their solo projects.
"Typically William has always worked solo in his fight against illegal wildlife trade, which is why we wouldn't see Kate join him on a trip like this or him joining Kate on her own personal projects, such as promoting the importance of perinatal, maternal and children's mental health," Reeves explained. "William's visit to Africa is in the same vein as his 2016 solo trip to Vietnam, where his goal was to urge people to stop buying rhino horn and elephant ivory."
In related news, Prince Harry is reportedly planning to split from Prince William and Middleton. The three royals were partners in campaigning for mental health. In fact, they were dubbed as the royal trio. However, according to Sally Bedell Smith, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to forge their own path.
