Rumors were circulating the Internet for the past few days, but People Magazine confirmed that Prince William and his new bride, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, will be coming to America in the summer.

Though their exact itinerary has yet to be revealed, the newlyweds will stop by California from July 8-10. While Prince William has visited the United States before, it was privately. This will be his first trip in an official capacity. Kate Middleton has never before been to the United States.

The trip to the US will follow the royal couple's trip to Canada from June 30 - July 8. Their trip to Canada will come just weeks after the newlyweds come back from their honeymoon.

Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have accepted an invitation from the government of Canada to undertake a Royal Tour, the palace said in a statement.

Their trip will include Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and the National Capital Region.
