Prince William, Kate Middleton Will Celebrate Halloween With Children, Royal Expert Says

Prince William and Kate Middleton have their own Halloween tradition.

According to OK! magazine's royal expert Christina Reeves, Halloween is not an occasion that their household would likely celebrate. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have their own approach for the holiday.

According to Reeves, Prince William and Middleton will likely have a private celebration at home with their kids. The couple may invite her mom, Carole Middleton, and sister, Pippa Middleton, for their "party planning skills," Good to Know reported.

"The royals certainly don't publicly celebrate Halloween, however, Kate's mother, Carole Middleton and sister, Pippa Middleton might well put their party planning skills to good use," Reeves said. "It's likely they will throw a private party for George and Charlotte behind closed doors. Whether it's rustling up a quick pumpkin pie or soup, I'm sure they won't let it go unnoticed."

However, the family might have to start their celebration at a later time as the Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly going to visit the Law Tennis Association, where she will watch several on-court sessions and a wheelchair tennis demonstration, People reported. Middleton will also take part in the Tennis for Kids session, a program where children aged 5 to 8 years old will be taught how to play and enjoy the game. She will also meet the best junior tennis players, as well as their coaches, nutritionists and physical therapists.

Middleton is a self-confessed tennis fan. In fact, in a BBC documentary, she confessed that she was banned from the Wimbledon finals back in 2013 because she was "heavily pregnant" with Prince George. She was, however, so desperate to witness the game that she begged her doctor to allow her to go the tournament, but to her disappointment, her doctor said, "definitely not."

The royal mom-of-two unfortunately missed Andy Murray's victory over Novac Djokovic. But she did not hesitate to send the winner a letter. "I was very heavily pregnant. I wrote to [Murray] afterwards saying sorry for not being there," Middleton said.

Middleton also confessed that before she married Prince William, she used to spend hours lining up to get tickets for Wimbledon. "Being able to go into Wimbledon and be part of an amazing atmosphere is special," she said.

As for starting a tennis career, Middleton is reluctant to actively pursue this despite her interest in the sports. "It inspires young people including myself. Every time Wimbledon is on I am thinking 'Yes, I could do the same' and get out the racket. Sadly, not the same results," Middleton said.
