Prince William, Kate Middleton’s Christmas Cards Through The Years

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Christmas cards through the years have just been revisited following the release of this year’s adorable card.

Kensington Palace uploaded the Christmas card photo on Twitter and revealed that the snap was taken by Matt Porteous. In the photo, Prince William and Middleton are sitting in front of their two older children Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Prince Louis is carried by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Last year, Prince William and Middleton’s Christmas card photo featured themselves with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The family was seen wearing an all-blue ensemble in the snap. Their family photo was taken indoors.

Two years ago, the royal couple’s Christmas card photo was a candid snap taken when their family visited Canada. The card showed Prince William, Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte not looking straight into the camera but instead watching a balloon artist at a garden party for military families.

In 2015, Prince William and Middleton’s Christmas card photo was the first time that Princess Charlotte made an appearance alongside her older brother. The snap was taken by Chris Jelf in the gardens of Kensington Palace.

Prince William and Middleton opted to use a photo from Prince George’s first birthday as their Christmas card photo for the year 2014. The picture was taken during the trio’s visit to the Sensational Butterflies exhibition at the Natural History Museum. Prince George was also pictured in dungarees on Kate’s lap while he was reaching out to a touch a butterfly on Prince William’s hand.

In 2013, Prince William and Middleton chose a photo from Prince George’s christening for their Christmas card. The snap showed George seated on Middleton’s lap while wearing a baptismal gown.

And in 2011, the royal couple’s first Christmas card featured them during their first overseas tour in Canada as newlyweds. Prince William and Middleton were captured smiling at the crowd during the Canada Day celebrations.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton are not the only royals who released a Christmas card this year. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also have one in black and white. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also have their own Christmas card.
