Prince William reportedly made a heartbreaking confession about his relationship with his younger brother, Prince Harry.

Days after the Duke of Sussex announced his decision to step back from his royal duties, Prince William released an emotional statement via The Times.

“I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can't do that anymore; we're separate entities. I’m sad about that,” Prince William said.

The Duke of Cambridge added that he will continue to support Prince Harry and Markle, and he also hopes that one day they will be on the same page again.

On Monday, Prince William is expected to reunite with Prince Harry after Queen Elizabeth summoned the senior members of the royal family for an important meeting. Markle wouldn’t be able to join because she’s currently in Canada.

“Following a series of meetings and consultations across the last few days, there is a range of possibilities for the family to review which take into account the thinking the Sussexes outlined earlier in the week,” a palace source said.

According to The Sun, Prince William aims to have a modern and progressive royal family and not to be overshadowed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that the royal siblings talked about their relationship in public. Last year, Prince Harry told Tom Bradby that he has not seen Prince William in months.

The Duke of Sussex also indirectly confirmed his feud with Prince William.

“Part of this role, part of this job, this family, being under the pressure which it’s under, inevitably stuff happens. But we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment. I’ll always be there for him,” Prince Harry said.

Rumors about an alleged feud between the royal siblings started after Prince Harry tied the knot with Markle. At that time, reports swirled that the Duke of Cambridge wasn’t pleased with how quickly Prince Harry married the former actress.
