Prince William saved Prince Harry from a public meltdown.

According to a bombshell documentary “The Story of the Royals,” the Duke of Sussex enjoyed his involvement in the military because it allowed him to be a normal person. Unfortunately, in 2008, his plan to serve wasn’t push through due to a security threat.

Prince Harry was pulled out from his secret deployment after the media leaked it. The said move left him “devastated.” In fact, according to Penny Junor, when they got back to RAF Northolt and the soldiers went off into an ambulance he went into a press conference.

Prince Harry was treated like a hero, but he wasn’t flattered at all. In fact, he couldn’t stomach it because he knew that he wasn’t able to serve at the time. Instead, he had a personal meltdown and highlighted two injured guys, one of them lost two limbs.

Junor noted that Prince William came to rescue Prince Harry by stopping the interview right there and then.

“His brother could see what was going on,” Junor said. “His brother and father had come to meet him.”

David Wiseman from the Royal Foundation added that at that moment, Prince Harry doesn’t want to be a celebrity. However, that incident sealed his fate. The Duke of Sussex made up his mind to work for the rest of his life for those men. So, he founded Invictus Games, an international sporting competition for wounded service personnel and veterans.

Prince Harry and Prince William were very close. In fact, according to journalists Rebecca Hyde and Angela Mollard in New Idea’s “Royals” podcast, if there’s one person that could question Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle it would be Prince William because they are closer.

There are rumors that the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex had a falling-out after Prince William reminded Prince Harry to slow down about his romance with Markle as they don’t know her that well. Mollard said that what Prince William did was reasonable while Hyde added any brother would do the same.

Unfortunately, Prince Harry didn’t appreciate it. He felt that Prince William was trying to destroy his thing with Markle even before it began. After the said incident, the royal princes’ relationship reportedly hasn’t really recovered.
