Prince William wants a quiet family life just like what his brother Prince Harry has.
In January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. In March, they carried out their final duty. Shortly after that, they moved to the United States.
According to royal experts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to give their son, Archie, a private life. Thus, the couple decided to leave the royal spotlight.
Royal experts believe that Prince William wants the same life for his own family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very private when it comes to their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. However, unlike the Sussexes, they know when to share photos of their kids and when to warn the paparazzi.
“William guards the privacy of his family more highly than anything else in his life and it doesn’t take a psychologist to work out why,” royal correspondent Katie Nicholl said (via Express).
“You only need to look at William’s own background, his relationship with his mother, what happened to his mother, the untimely death, preceding that, the breakdown of the Waleses’ marriage, everything played out in the media, poured over in the press and he hated it. And you can completely understand why all he wants is a quiet family life out of the spotlight.”
Hello magazine royal reporter Emily Nash also shared that the Cambridges have reached an understanding with the media when it comes to their kids’ photographs. According to her, the future king knows that there is a huge public interest in their lives.
Kensington Palace has warned the use of paparazzi photos of the royal kids. Nash believes that it is the reason why the kids are rarely featured in any U.K. publication even if they are frequently photographed.
“I think that's probably helped a great deal in reassuring him [Prince William],” Nash added.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Prince Harry are already on speaking terms. Recent reports even said the Duke of Sussex is reportedly relying on his older brother.
According to an insider, Prince William advised Prince Harry to return to the U.K. or move somewhere safer. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently residing in Los Angeles and last month they contacted the LAPD over drone flybys in their property.
