Princes Charles, Harry Showed Same ‘Nervous’ Gesture At Altar During Weddings
Prince Charles and Prince Harry reportedly felt nervous on their respective wedding days that took place almost 40 years apart.
Instagram royal fan account @loveprincessdiana noted that both Prince Charles and Prince Harry stroked their cheek in front of the altar on their wedding day. The royals also wiped their eyes while their wedding ceremonies were taking place.
A side by side video of Prince Harry and Prince Charles on their wedding day shows how exactly alike the two men’s gestures were. Prince Charles stroked his cheek before wiping his eyes, and Prince Harry did the exact same thing while standing beside Meghan Markle in front of the altar.
But despite the similarity in their actions, one royal fan commented that Prince Harry may have only imitated Prince Charles’ movements, but he still looks more like Prince Philip when the Duke of Edinburgh was younger.
Meanwhile, some fans were not happy to see the footage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding and said that it seemed all too fake. After all, Prince Charles loved Camilla Parker Bowles more, and they even had an affair while he was still married to Princess Diana.
“Rubbish. He never loved her at all. He’s spineless! Camilla and Charles do not deserve to be happy. It amazes me that after what they did to Diana that anyone has anything positive to say about either of them. They destroyed Diana. They were much older,” one person wrote.
“He was forced to marry her… He wasn’t man enough to stand up and defend his love for Camilla. Lady Di didn’t deserve Charles. Now all the world hates them. Sad story and we all lost our forever Queen,” another person commented.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated in 1992, but it was only in 1996 that their divorce was finalized. In 1995, the Princess of Wales said that she was aware Prince Charles was having an affair with Bowles. Two years later, she passed away following a fatal car crash in Paris.
