Princess Anne Reunited With Former Fling, And There Was No Awkwardness

Princess Diana recently reunited with her former fling, and it was evident that there was no awkwardness between them.

Photos of Princess Anne chatting and walking with Andrew Parker Bowles while at the Royal Ascot were released online. In one of the snaps, the former lovers are looking into each other’s eyes. Another photo shows the two walking together while smiling from ear to ear.

Three months ago, royal commentator Angela Mollard told the “Royals” podcast that Princess Anne and Parker Bowles had a torrid love affair. The latter is known for having multiple lovers, one of which was Camilla Parker Bowles, the wife of Prince Charles.

“When Charles and Camilla reignited their relationship some years into his marriage with Diana, he was forever known as the man who laid his wife down for the country. This is really funny… Princess Anne, who we always think is the grumpy one with the bun – she had an affair with Andrew Parker Bowles,” she said.

Mollard went on to say that after the two ended their affair, they became good friends. Princess Anne and Parker Bowles are both obsessed with horses that’s why they enjoy going to the Royal Ascot and seeing each other there.

In the past, royal author Penny Junor also talked about Princess Anne and Parker Bowles’ former fling. He said that their affair became noticeable after the mom of two took Parker Bowles to the Royal Ascot with Queen Elizabeth II several years ago.

“To Camilla’s fury, Andrew was also seeing Princess Anne, Charles’ feisty younger sister,” Junor wrote in the book “The Duchess.” “He had never known to date just one girl at a time, but he seemed to be unusually smitten and rumor had it that so was Anne,” she added.

Junor also said that Parker Bowles was aware with Princess Anne could never end in a marriage that’s why they decided to call it quits.
