Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are officially married! The couple, who initially planned to wed on May 29 at St. James’s Palace in London, were married in a private ceremony on Friday morning in Windsor. However, they have yet to share their official wedding photo.

Past royal couples like Prince William and Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have released an official photo following their nuptials, and it appears Princess Beatrice and Edoardo plan to follow in their footsteps.

Multiple sources told Entertainment Tonight that the couple will most likely share an official wedding photo over the weekend. Although Beatrice and Edoardo married on Friday morning, they will delay the release of the photo so they don’t take the spotlight away from Captain Sir Thomas Moore, who will receive his knighthood from Queen Elizabeth.

The 100-year-old captain raised more than $40 million for the U.K.’s National Health Service amid the coronavirus pandemic by walking 100 laps in his backyard garden. The scheduled gathering will mark the Queen’s first face-to-face encounter with someone outside of the palace since the lockdown began in March.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the surprise wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo to ET in a statement. “The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11 a.m. on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor,” the statement read.

“The small ceremony was attended by the Queen [Elizabeth II], the Duke of Edinburgh [Prince Philip] and close family. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government Guidelines.”
