In September, Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, which may have left some fans of the British royal family wondering what will happen to her official title. Currently, she is known as Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York, but will that remain intact once she marries her fiance?

According to the Latin Times, changes may be coming once she and Edoardo officially wed. When her sister, Princess Eugenie, got married she decided to change her name from Princess Eugenie of York to Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank. This means that Princess Beatrice has the same option once she too marries.

If she does follow in her sister's footsteps, she could potentially become Princess Beatrice, Mrs. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. However, that specific styling of her name is not her only option.

As Edoardo comes with his own royal title, known as Count Edoardo Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, Beatrice may instead opt to become a countess as that is within the parameters of accessible changes.

As royal watchers know, titles can continue to change over time due to specific circumstances. Aside from Beatrice and Eugenie, Princess Charlotte will at some point in her life potentially have the option to pick up a unique name that very few before her have had. Additionally, Camilla Parker Bowles could obtain a higher title than Prince Philip.
