Princess Diana Felt William, Harry ‘Were Not Enough,’ Wanted More Kids, Ex-Assistant Says

Princess Diana was not satisfied with just two children, Prince William, and Prince Harry, because she had always wanted more kids, one of her ex-employees' claims.

Prince Charles and the late Princess of Wales only had two kids before they separated in 1992 and finalized their divorce in 1996. However, Princess Diana’s former royal aide has revealed in an interview that if she had her way, the late royal would have wanted to more children because just two were not enough for her.

“Princess Diana always wanted more children. She felt that two were not enough,” Paul Burrell told Closer Weekly.

“She would’ve had an army of children running through the corridors of Kensington Palace. And of course, She always wanted a girl. Wouldn’t she have just adored Princess Charlotte?” he continued.

Aside from being a good mom, Burrell also said Diana would be an amazing grandmother if she had had the chance to meet Prince William and Prince Harry’s children.

“I think Diana would be scooping up those grandbabies and squeezing them to death,” Burrell said.

Princess Diana’s ex-royal aide also said he believes that Prince Charles would welcome more grandchildren soon. He claimed that both Prince William and Prince Harry are working on expanding their respective families.

Princess Diana's children may share Burrell's opinions. In a previous interview, Prince William joked that his mom would be a “nightmare” grandmother. Kate Middleton’s husband said his mother might like their kids a little too much.

“She'd be a nightmare grandmother—absolute nightmare. She'd love the children to bits, but she'd be an absolute nightmare,” Prince William said. “She'd come and go and she'd come in probably at bath time, cause an amazing amount of scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place, and then leave.”

In related news, a new documentary about the Princess of Wales is coming to Netflix. However, according to a royal expert, it could either help or break Prince William and Prince Harry.

“It might provide closure, or it might open new wounds for the sons. It all depends on who is going to speak to the camera and what they might reveal,” Leslie Carroll said about the documentary. “Most people who are royal watchers already know that what really broke Diana’s heart was her husband’s marital infidelity: his relationship with Camilla, which began years before he met Diana and never ended; and which drove her into the arms of other men.”
