Kate Middleton Breaks Royal Parenting Tradition For Kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte

Kate Middleton refused to follow some royal parenting traditions for her children.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have three adorable children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Prince William and Middleton are very hands-on and private when it comes to their kids. In fact, the future queen ditched some royal parenting practices to follow what she thinks is best for her kids.

“Kate values quality family time and has broken some traditions,” Zoe Bonser, show director at The Baby Show, told Express.

According to Bonser, Middleton decided to take her children’s pictures instead of having them appear in regular photo calls to protect their privacy.

“Usually, Kate takes pictures herself, giving her the freedom and power over what is used in public - and a chance to use her artistic skills,” Zoe added.

Meanwhile, Gina Jones from Bumpkins, The Baby Show's lead expert in baby photography, shared another reason why Middleton loves taking her children’s photos. For her, it was due to “practical reasons.”

“It shows how modern Kate and William are by being more accessible and having a hands-on approach,” Jones said.

“It also shows that they are resourceful with money as you often see Kate in high street fashion and sometimes repeating outfits and so by taking her own photos this again shows how she is savvy with money.”

Middleton’s photography skills have reportedly improved over time. It has become a tradition for the duchess to release official photos of her children to celebrate their milestones like birthdays, first day of school and more.

Royal photographer Samir Hussein praised the royal’s photography skills. He particularly liked Middleton’s birthday photos for Prince Louis.

“I really liked the recent pictures of Prince Louis,” Hussein said.

“You can see from the pictures she takes that she’s better, certainly better than your average person on the streets. She’s got a good eye, and she’s a good photographer. I’m impressed by her pictures, absolutely,” he added.

Meanwhile, even if Middleton broke some royal traditions, she still follows others. For instance, she always dresses her kids in traditional British clothing for their public appearances.
