Princess Diana Found This ‘Incriminating Evidence’ Proving Prince Charles, Camilla’s Affair
Princess Diana was able to confirm Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ affair after she found an incriminating evidence days before their wedding.
Jessica Jayne, the author of “The Duchess of Cornwall: Camilla’s Story and Secrets,” revealed that Princess Diana found a bracelet with the initials GF engraved on it in one of Prince Charles’ employee’s offices weeks before the late Princess of Wales tied the knot with the future king.
At first glance, Princess Diana knew what the bracelet symbolized because GF stands for Gladys and Fred, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s pet names for each other. After Princess Diana confronted Prince Charles regarding his gift, the future King still went on to give the accessory to Camilla.
Gladys and Fred were names taken by Prince Charles from his favorite entertainment “Goon Show.” But according to Jayne, Princess Diana’s discoveries didn’t end there.
“The princess was especially annoyed that on their honeymoon, she discovered two photos of Camilla tucked in Charles’ diary, and the cufflinks he wore to a party bore two interlinked ‘C’s.’ The cufflinks were a gift from Camilla,” she said (via Express).
Despite already knowing that Prince Charles was still in love with Camilla, Princess Diana decided to push through with their wedding. During an interview before their divorce was finalized, the mom of two admitted that she desperately wanted their marriage to work out.
“I desperately loved my husband and I wanted to share everything together – which breaks my heart a little bit,” she said.
Throughout the first few years of their marriage, royal fans didn’t know what was happening to Prince Charles and Princess Diana behind closed doors so they thought that they had a fairytale marriage.
But in 1995, Princess Diana exposed everything she knew about the royal family and Prince Charles in her Panorama interview. Her conversation with Martin Bashir caused more tension between her and Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty urged Prince Charles to finalize his divorce from Princess Diana thereafter.
Princess Diana passed away one year later following a fatal car crash in Paris. At that time, she was with her boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed, who also passed away.
