Princess Diana Received This Priceless Gift From Michael Jackson That Sons Inherited
Princess Diana reportedly received a priceless gift from Michael Jackson several years ago.
In the Amazon Prime documentary “Michael Jackson: Unmasked,” it was revealed that Princess Diana and Prince Charles attended the singer’s “Bad” tour on July 16, 1988, at the Wembley Arena. Prior to his performance, the King of Pop made a generous donation to the Prince of Wales’ charity, The Prince’s Trust.
Jackson also handed over custom-made “Bad” jackets that he made for Princess Diana, and they have been personalized for her sons Prince William and Prince Harry.
“In 1987, the album ‘Bad’ was released and along with it came a different Michael Jackson. The 1988 tour was attended by Prince Charles and Princess Diana,” the narrator said.
It was also revealed that Jackson’s generous donation was estimated at over $387,000. As of late, it is unclear where the custom-made jackets are but they are most likely with the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex.
Two years ago, the singer’s close confidante claimed that Jackson actually wanted to marry Princess Diana. Matt Fiddes told Daily Star that the award-winning musician was in love with the Princess of Wales.
“Michael told me he loves her, and he was in love with her, and he wanted to marry her. He told me she was his ideal wife… He felt she was the only person in the world who could understand his life in terms of not being able to go anywhere, and the media stories that got out of hand,” he said.
According to Fiddes, Jackson immediately felt a bond with Princess Diana after the first time that they met. They were also quite similar because they were both shy individuals and they also suffered a tremendous amount of pain due to the role that they were in.
Princess Diana passed away on Aug. 31, 1997, following a fatal car crash in Paris. Jackson, on the other hand, died on June 25, 2009.
