Princess Diana ‘Replaces’ Camilla In Royal Family’s Portrait For Prince Charles’ Birthday
Princess Diana just "replaced" Camilla Parker Bowles in one of the royal family’s portraits released on Prince Charles’ birthday last year.
The fan-made edit shows the late Princess of Wales taking the place of Camilla and sitting beside Prince Charles and Princess Charlotte. The mom-of-two is wearing her signature coat and skirt in the snap. She is smiling from ear-to-ear while sitting in front of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Princess Diana passed away on Aug. 31, 1997, which means that she never got the chance to meet her grandchildren. As such, royal fans said that the edited photo showing Princess Diana with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis is just amazing.
The original version of the photo features Camilla sitting beside the future King. Prince George is sitting on his grandfather’s lap, while Princess Charlotte is sitting beside the Duchess of Cornwall.
Behind the royal couple and their grandchildren are Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Cambridge is carrying Prince Louis in the photo. Prince William and Prince Harry are wearing matching suits, and Prince Harry’s hand is wrapped around Markle’s waist.
The original photo was a reflection of the royal family’s bond but some royal fans still said that it would have been nicer if Princess Diana was really the one in the picture.
“This is the way it should have been,” one fan commented.
“A perfect photo, love it. If only Charles had been honorable instead of a sleez,” another fan wrote.
But even if Princess Diana were still alive today, it is highly unlikely for her to be photographed with Prince Charles. The two already divorced in 1996, but they have been separated since 1992.
If Princess Diana will be with the members of the royal family, it would most likely be with her sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren but not Prince Charles and Camilla.
