Princess Diana Wouldn’t Have Let ‘Dishonest,’ ‘Unkind’ Meghan Markle Marry Harry, Netizens Claim
Princess Diana passed away several years before Prince Harry met Meghan Markle. As such, the late royal was no longer around when the couple tied the knot.
On the online forum site Quora, royal fans are convinced that Princess Diana wouldn’t have allowed her youngest son to marry the Duchess of Sussex if she was still alive.
An anonymous source said that the Princess of Wales wouldn’t have allowed Markle to come 100 feet near Prince Harry. After all, Princess Diana wants her son to be with someone who is honest and kind.
“Firstly, Meghan is not nearly as kind as she pretends to be. Meghan’s best friend of 30 years refused to speak to Meghan ever again because of how terribly she treated her first husband. Meghan dumped him in an extraordinarily cruel way, which shows that she has a history of being cruel to her husband. Diana would have wanted someone who was always kind to their spouses, so Meghan’s terrible treatment of her first husband would have horrified her,” the source said.
The source went on to say that Markle has a history of mistreating her family members. Until today, she has not made amends with her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., and this isn’t something that Princess Diana would approve of.
Meanwhile, one royal fan came to Markle’s defense. Eileen Wood said that the Duchess of Sussex has not done anything wrong to the public for them to talk negatively of her.
“Meghan makes Harry happy. Meghan adores Harry. Harry is happy. Harry adores Meghan. Diana would never want her son to be unhappy, so it's a really stupid idea to even suggest she would encourage him to leave his wife and child,” Wood said.
Royal fan Jen Swenson also quoted Prince Harry as saying that if Princess Diana was still alive, she and Markle would be thick as thieves.
“If Diana, Princess of Wales was alive today, the Duchess of Sussex would have someone who knows what it’s like in her court,” Swenson said.
