Princess Diana’s Former Butler Says James Hewitt Is Not Prince Harry’s Dad

Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, recently slammed the rumors suggesting that James Hewitt is Prince Harry’s dad.

In a recent episode of “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,” fellow contestant Jack Gillies asked Burrell if he is certain Prince Charles is the father of Prince Harry. After all, Princess Diana had an affair with Hewitt for several years.

“She didn’t know James Hewitt when Harry was born. That’s fact. Five years into the marriage, she had Harry. And she hadn’t yet met James Hewitt. True,” Burrell said.

Last year, Hewitt was asked whether or not he is biologically related to Prince Harry, and he said “no.” During his interview in “Princess Diana & The Royal Family,” Hewitt said that the rumors never die down because they help sell papers.

Meanwhile, throughout Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage, Prince Harry and Prince William’s mom was also linked to a slew of other women. James Gilbey made headlines years ago after his phone call with the princess was made public. During their conversation, Gilbey called Princess Diana “darling.”

Princess Diana was also once linked to Barry Mannakee, her former bodyguard. Mannakee was already married when he worked at the Kensington Palace for a year. In 1986, he was stripped off his duties after he was allegedly caught comforting the princess. Mannakee died in a road crash, according to The Telegraph.

Oliver Hoare was another man who was linked to Princess Diana. According to People, the late princess became obsessed with the Islamic art dealer.

Prince Charles, on the other hand, also had an alleged affair with his now-wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. During a previous interview with You magazine, Camilla said that she had a hard time living a private life after her relationship with Prince Charles was exposed.

“I couldn’t really go anywhere. But the children came and went as normal – they just got on with it, and so did great friends. It was horrid. It was a deeply unpleasant time and I wouldn’t want to put my worst enemy through it,” she said (via People).
