Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank Broke This Protocol In Front Of Queen Elizabeth

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are rumored to have broken royal protocol in front of Queen Elizabeth II.

The newlyweds were photographed holding hands while walking on their way to St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate. Royal biographer Gyles Brandreth told People that the Queen and Prince Philip are not normally seen holding hands in public because of the stoic values of their generation.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been seen in various public displays of affection, but they do not regularly hold hands in public. During their Christmas Day walk, the Duchess of Sussex was seen holding her husband’s arm and not his hand.

Myka Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told the publication that the rules for PDA differ for every generation of royals and among the couples themselves.

“It is rare to see couples holding hands on official outings. While we are much likely to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge holding hands in public, we often see Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall holding hands – it’s all a matter of preference for each couple and is also likely dependent on nature or the event they are attending,” Meier explained.

The expert also said that more serious engagements would warrant a more serious level of professionalism, which royals need to follow.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank attended the Queen’s Christmas church service together for the first time this year. The couple just tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Oct. 12. Following their wedding, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson hosted two receptions for their daughter, Princess Eugenie, and Brooksbank.

On the night of their wedding, Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank decided to stay back home at the Royal Lodge with their parents and Princess Beatrice instead of immediately flying out for their honeymoon. A few days later, they embarked on their private trip and had the best time.

Princess Eugenie is the granddaughter of Prince Philip and the Queen. She is also the first cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry.
