Princess Eugenie’s Lavish Two-Day Afterparty Costs This Much; Who Will Pay?

Princess Eugenie’s two-day afterparty will reportedly cost a huge sum of money.

Isabella Sullivan, a journalist for Express, revealed that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding ceremony itself will cost over $2.6 million. And Vanity Fair reported that the afterparties that will take place on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13 are being estimated at over $130,000.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are believed to be paying for the ceremony and the after parties. After the morning nuptials on Oct. 12, Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s guests will head to St. George’s Hall for a champagne reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II.

On the evening of Oct. 12, a more intimate gathering for the royal couple’s family and friends will be held at the Royal Lodge. On Oct. 13, a more relaxed party will take place, and it will feature a fairground, an enormous marquee, and food stalls.

“It is Eugenie and Jack’s party and they are very much involved in all the details and decisions,” a source told E! News.

Another source told The Telegraph, “There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, Bloody Mary’s for the hangovers, and a festival vibe.

In related news, Princess Eugenie’s wedding was initially expected to be much smaller than the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, it was recently confirmed that the non-working royal invited more guests to her big day.

A source told Vanity Fair that Prince Andrew wants to give Princess Eugenie the opportunity to shine in the spotlight on her wedding day that’s why he’s going to go all out.

“The feeling among the Yorks is that she deserves her moment in the spotlight and a big royal wedding with all the frills,” the source said.

It was also reported that Princess Eugenie and Brookbank planned their engagement before Prince Harry and Markle. But since Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne, his engagement and wedding received precedence over Princess Eugenie.
