Princess Sofia Of Sweden Looks Stunning In Floor-Length Gown At Project Playground Fundraiser
Princess Sofia of Sweden looked stunning as she dressed her baby bump in a floor-length gown to attend a fundraiser for her children’s charity, Project Playground at Gothenburg Monday. Though her husband Carl Philip was scheduled to attend the event, she made a solo appearance and walked the red carpet.
The 31-year-old princess was dressed in a black and white patterned gown. Sofia’s dress featured high neck and the fitted detailing showed off her baby bump. She also wore a thick black velvet jacket on top to protect her from the cold.
Sofia’s make-up consisted of eyeliner and a slick of frosted brown lipstick. Her brunette tresses were left loose and kept in side part. Her locks were styled in soft curls.
As her husband Carl Philip had to cancel his appearance last minute, Sofia attended the event alone. However, she walked the fundraiser red carpet with the secretary general of Project Playground. Her baby bump was front and center at the event.
Carl Philip due to his flu was advised by doctors to take rest. “The royal family always tries to be at the events they have booked, but sometimes it is not possible and this is one such occasion. It’s flu season and he has a fever,” said Swedish Royal Court spokeswoman Margareta Thorgren.
When asked by reporters about her impending arrival, she said she was “very excited.” She gave no answer regarding the name of her firstborn. She added that they were keeping that to themselves.
Earlier in the day, the Swedish royal, who is expecting her first child with Carl Philip visited the Riddarholm Church and Treasury with the department of public activities. In spite of being very close to giving birth, Sofia looked fresh faced in a black outfit. Her black belted coat highlighted her bump which she dressed in a maternity blouse by Seraphine.
