Princess Sofia Takes Style Inspiration From Kate Middleton, Debuts Short Royal Lob

Princess Sofia of Sweden took some style inspiration from British royal Kate Middleton. She debuted her royal lob at the “Christmas in Vasastan” concert at the Gustaf Vasa Church in Stockholm Monday. Sofia showed off her new short hairstyle at the event which was clearly inspired by Kate who debuted her new shorter haircut while attending the ICAP Charity Day celebration in London.

Sofia showed off her growing baby bump in a bright blue lacy dress with an empire waistline. She paired it with navy tights. The dress featured three-quarter length sleeves and a deep V neckline showing off her cleavage. The brunette beauty’s short glossy tresses were styled in center part.

The 31-year-old royal’s flawless make-up consisted of lots of mascara, eyeliner and glossy brown lipstick. Sofia flaunted her deep brown manicure. She accessorized with long earrings and matching bracelet.

Her husband Prince Carl Philip who recently spoke out about his dyslexia looked dapper in deep gray suit and trousers combo. He paired his outfit with a crisp white shirt, dotted purple tie and a white pocket square. The Royal Palace of Sweden took to Facebook and shared picture from the event as the couple posed for a photograph with the musicians.

Sofia and Carl Philip, who married in a lavish ceremony in Stockholm in June, are expecting their first child. The princess is expected to give birth in April 2016. The former model, who is known for her signature glossy and long tresses, has now trimmed a few inches of her luscious locks.

Her now shoulder-length brunette tresses give a sophisticated look. Her shorter ‘do’ is the shortest style that Sofia has ever sported. The royal lob as the Duchess of Cambridge debuted in on Dec. 9 is on trend with several Hollywood beauties going for it.

Stars like Khloe Kardashian, Carrie Underwood and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have gone for the same hairstyle.

Earlier, the Swedish royal couple attended the formal gathering of the Swedish Academy at Börshuset . Sofia looked stunning in an emerald green gown topped off with the royal sash and a black velvet coat. The princess accessorized with emerald and gold earrings, small gold box clutch and black high heels.

All the other members of the royal family were also present. Princess Madeleine with her husband Chris O’Neill, Crown Princess Victoria with Prince Daniel and King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. Victoria who is pregnant with her second child glowed in a form-fitting black gown that showed off her baby bump.
