Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas Share First Picture Of Daughter Malti Marie, Call Her ‘Badass’

Priyanka Chopra shared the first photo of her baby girl, Malti Marie on Mother's Day, marking the baby's arrival at their home.

The photo Chopra posted on Instagram also featured her husband, Nick Jonas.

In the photo, the 39-year-old actress can be seen holding the baby girl close to her heart while Jonas was holding her little arm. The little one's face was covered with a white heart icon.

"On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced," Chopra captioned the photo. "After 100-plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home."

The actress went on to explain that every family goes through a different journey and their journey has been challenging, especially in the last few months.

"Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith," she added. "And while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is."

Chopra further shared that the baby girl has finally reached home and thanked everyone involved in the journey -- from the doctor to the specialist center.

"We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way," she continued. "Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass."

The actress also mentioned her husband in the post and wrote, "Also... there is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you."

Jonas, on the other hand, also shared the same photo but changed the caption's end part. After thanking the doctors and mentioning how difficult the last few months were, the 29-year-old singer wished the actress on her first Mother's Day.

"Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and caretakers out there," he added. "But I want to take a minute to say a special Mother’s Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother’s Day."

Jonas went on to share how much Chopra inspires him in every way and praised her for taking her mother's role with "ease and steadiness."

"I am so grateful to be on this journey with you," he concluded. "You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you."

Jonas and Chopra got married in 2018. The couple welcomed their baby girl on Jan. 15, 8:00 p.m. at a hospital in San Diego.
