Priyanka Chopra Returns To Bollywood With 'Jee Le Zaraa' Starring Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt

Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a throwback photo of her and co-stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt from her upcoming Bollywood movie, "Jee Le Zaraa."
In the photo, Chopra could be seen wearing a white dress while posing with Kaif and Bhatt. On the actress' left, Kaif could be seen wearing a green dress with white dots while Bhatt wore a casual sweatshirt.
"Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019," Chopra recalled. "But it had to be the right one - different, cool, never been done before… I thought."
The 39-year-old star further noted that after the idea of doing a new Bollywood movie grew strong, she decided to make a movie, which is "helmed by an all-female cast," noting that there are "not enough" Bollywood movies that are "female multi-starrers."
The actress went on to explain how she made an "impulsive phone call" to her "2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!"
Chopra noted that she met Bhatt and Kaif "enthusiastically" in February, last year, noting that's when this photo was clicked. "Just before the world shut down, to discuss who we could trust to bring this vision to life for us and our choice was unanimous."
Chopra, who has worked with Indian actor and director Farhan Akhtar before, said he was already working on a "female road trip movie at the same time!"
"Talk about all the stars aligning!!" Chopra added.
"And here we are today… #JeeLeZaraa… it only took 3 years to align all our schedules but we stuck together and got it done!" she concluded. "This one is to sisterhood… to friendship and to breaking the mould!! Can’t wait to get on the road with Aloo and Katty. My heart’s smiling."
The "Quantico" star was last seen in the Netflix thriller movie, "The White Tiger," which was released on Jan. 6, this year. Chopra will be seen in "The Matrix 4," which is slated to release on Dec. 16, this year.
