Pumpkin Shannon Turns 23: Mama June's Sister Doe Doe Calls Birthday Girl 'Amazing'

Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon turned 23 this week, and her aunt, Joanne "Doe Doe" Shannon, paid tribute to her to mark the occasion.

On Saturday, Mama June's sister took to Instagram to share a montage of throwback photos featuring Pumpkin and her family with Josh Efird and her sisters, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon.

Doe Doe then showered her niece with praise in her caption as she greeted the birthday girl on her special day.

"Yelling happy birthday to our favorite Lauryn aka @pumpkin. She is an amazing sister, mom, wife, daughter, cousin, niece and smother (sic). If you see her you see one of her 5 kids and she loves them all. We love you to the moon and back. Have an amazing weekend," Doe Doe wrote.

Pumpkin shares four kids with Josh — Ella Grace, 5, Bentley Jameson, 1, and twins Sylus Ray and Stella Renae, 8 months. However, she also has her sister Alana, 17, under her care after she was granted full custody of the latter in June last year.

Fans quickly showered the post with positive messages, with many praising Pumpkin for stepping up when her family needed her the most.

"Pumpkin, I want to wish you a happy birthday, and in my opinion, [you are] one incredible adult. Able to handle all that you deal with on a daily basis. You have a lot to be proud of, especially your adorable babies and Honey Boo Boo," one wrote.

"Happy birthday Pumpkin, you are an amazing mom and sister." another added.

Pumpkin has yet to update her fans on how she celebrated her 23rd birthday on Saturday. Days prior, she revealed on her TikTok that she and Honey Boo Boo got back to the gym after New Year's. She told her fans that she'll keep them posted on their weight loss journey on the platform.

As for Mama June, it wasn't clear if she greeted her daughter on the latter's special day. Honey Boo Boo revealed last October that their mom hasn't been communicating with them despite her promise to work on fixing their relationship.
