“Quantico” Season 2 finally released new footage, and the ABC drama may have let something big slip. A diamond ring is shown, and it’s clear that Ryan isn’t letting Alex go just because she works for a different organization.

As previously reported, Alex (Priyanka Chopra) will join the CIA in Season 2. She’ll meet new people like charming CIA officer Owen Hall (Blair Underwood), who appears briefly in the 15-second promo video. She’ll also find time for her boyfriend Ryan (Jake McLaughlin), and it looks like they’re closer than ever.

Alex and Ryan had some serious drama in Season 1, but they ended the year on solid ground. After two months, they got to go on the trip that they meant to take after graduation. However, it seemed like Alex had to make a choice in the last moments of the finale. She either had to accept a job offer from the CIA or pick up Ryan’s call. Obviously, she went with the first option, but where does that leave Ryan? Well, it looks like Alex will try to choose both her new job and her man.

In the video above, Alex and Ryan appear to be jumping out of a plane together, but they also share a much calmer moment. After a close up of a diamond ring, they are shown sharing a happy moment together while Ryan is on one knee. It certainly looks like a proposal, but don’t start planning their wedding just yet. It might be a red herring.

The diamond ring close up seems to have a white tablecloth and a white plate behind it. The shot of Ryan and Alex doesn’t look like it’s at a restaurant, but an abandoned room. There’s a possibility that it’s not a ring from Ryan. If it is in fact for Alex, it doesn’t seem like these two are headed for happily ever after just yet.

“Quantico” Season 2 will set up another mystery to solve. This time, it isn’t just a matter of national security. The whole world will be in danger. “While investigating the dark world of espionage at a mysterious CIA training facility, Alex becomes caught at the center of a conspiracy that threatens lives across the globe,” the premiere synopsis reveals.

Alex will question everyone around her. There will be several new characters to suspect, but it sounds like even those she already knows from the FBI will be looked at. Could Ryan become a person of interest again? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.
