‘Quantico’ Season 2 Update: Priyanka Chopra Shares Release Date, Begins Shooting In New York
ABC's ‘Quantico’ Season 2 is all set to hit the TV screens in September as Priyanka Chopra begins shooting for the next leg. The Indian actress, who plays the role of FBI recruit Alex Parrish, shared a photo on her Instagram account Wednesday of Day 1 at the sets in New York.
The next season of “Quantico,” which will be exploring a different branch of the government, will see many new faces in the show. South African actress Pearl Thusi will be joining the cast, the Deadline reported, adding that Blair Underwood will also be part of the next season as a series regular. According to reports, the 51-year old actor will play Owen Hall, a CIA officer.
Chopra, who was in India last month, has been sharing pictures with the cast of "Quantico" since arriving in the United States this month.
The first episode of "Quantico" Season 2 is set to air on Sept. 25. The episode has been directed by Patrick Norris, and written by Joshua Safran and Logan Slakter.
“Quantico” Season 1 ended with Alex and ex-Marine Ryan Booth killing FBI Special Agent Liam O'Connor, who was later revealed to be a terrorist. In the final episode, FBI recruit Simon Asher sacrifices himself to stop the nuclear bomb from killing anyone else, but the twist comes when Alex confronts Senator Claire Haas and accuses her of working with Liam.
