Queen Elizabeth keeps one thing about herself a secret to avoid repetition.

While speaking with Express, former royal correspondent Gordon Rayner said that Her Majesty doesn’t reveal her favorite food because she doesn’t want to be served the same dish when she’s at her royal engagements.

“As one of her staff told me, ‘If she said she had a favorite meal, she would never get served anything else,’” he said.

As such, the Queen’s favorite main course still remains a secret until today. But royal fans are aware which dessert is her favorite. Darren McGrady, the Queen’s former royal chef, said that the monarch loves chocolate biscuit cake.

“Now, the chocolate biscuit cake is the only cake that goes back again and again and again every day until it’s all gone. She’ll take a small slice every day until eventually there is only one tiny piece, but you have to send that up, she wants to finish the whole of that cake,” McGrady told Recipes Plus.

Other than the chocolate biscuit cake, the monarch also loves eating pudding so much that she will notice if a piece has gone missing. And if there’s pudding left when she travels back to Windsor, her royal staff would have to make sure to bring them with her.

The Queen also enjoys eating Dundee cake, a traditional Scottish fruit cake.

Meanwhile, one member of the royal family also gets served with a particular drink after rumors swirled that she loves them. According to Reader’s Digest, everyone the Duchess of Cambridge goes, almond milk is handed to her.

But during her visit to a charity café last week, Middleton finally silenced the rumors that she enjoys the drink. She urged everyone to not believe everything they read online and said that she actually doesn’t like almond milk.

Middleton loves spicy curry, sushi, lamb, her grandmother’s chutney, popcorn, vegetarian dishes, and more. She also cooks for Prince William and their three children every now and then.
