The death of Queen Elizabeth II, who was on the British throne for 70 years, has drawn global attention on social media. World leaders on Thursday were quick to offer condolences about a public figure who was the symbol of stability for the United Kingdom.
New British Prime Minister Liz Truss said that the country was "devastated." She called Queen Elizabeth "the rock on which modern Britain was built."

President Joe Biden released a statement Thursday about her lasting legacy.
