Queen Elizabeth II Forced Out Of Balmoral Castle During Recent Visit
Queen Elizabeth II was forced to stay out of Balmoral castle during her recent visit.
On Sunday, Her Majesty was spotted with Prince Edward and Lady Louise Windsor driving to church. Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and son James, Viscount Severn, were not spotted but were believed to be at the Scottish retreat at the same time.
Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth II was forced to stay at her seven-bedroom Craigowan Lodge as a multitude of tourists took over the castle.
Balmoral castle has been opened up for some of the 50,000 annual visitors to walk through its door to catch a glimpse of royal life. The grounds and garden opened on April 1 and will stay open to the public until July 31.
The visitors will be toured to the vegetable gardens, stable area and the Ballroom – the largest room in the castle.
Last week, Queen Elizabeth II was spotted with Prince William and Kate Middleton in two engagements. Her Majesty showed up at Chelsea Flower Show to support Middleton’s garden.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted the Queen with a kiss upon her arrival. Middleton also performed a perfect curtsy.
The couple toured the monarch to the garden that Middleton herself designed. Days before the opening, Middleton also took her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louise to the garden. The family of five had a great time together during their visit.
Meanwhile, Middleton wore the Queen’s most hated footwear – a pair of wedge sandals. Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly not a fan of wedges. One even described the monarch a “notorious wedge-hater.” But it seems that Middleton’s shoes were not an issue during their reunion.
The following day, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Middleton reunited again at Buckingham Palace’s garden party.
Queen Elizabeth II and Middleton wore color-coordinated outfits. The Queen donned a baby blue coat with matching hat and accessorized with a multi-strand pearl necklace and brooch. On the other hand, the future queen consort sported a light pink coat dress by Alexander McQueen with matching Juliette Botterill fascinator and blush heels.
