Queen Elizabeth II Poses With Prince George And Princess Charlotte In New Photo, Kate Middleton Takes A Few Snaps
A new family photo that featured the Queen with her two great-grandchildren Prince George and Princess Charlotte will soon be released. Reports indicate that Queen Elizabeth II posed for a photo shoot with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children for the record breaking Queen’s upcoming birthday.
The Queen posed with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in a special photo shoot held Monday, March 28 at Windsor Castle. The photo shoot was for the Queen’s upcoming 90th birthday on April 21. A source told The Sun that Prince William and Princess Kate were both present during the photo shoot, Hello magazine reported. However, the royal couple opted to stay behind the camera lens and look over the pictorial activities.
The official photographer for the said photo shoot was Annie Leibovitz, although the Duchess of Cambridge was said to have taken a few snaps for the royal family’s personal collection. Some of Leibovitz’s works include stills of famous musicians and stars such as Adele, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Benedict Cumberbatch and many more. She was also responsible for Caitlyn Jenner’s 2015 Vanity Fair cover.
This was not the first time that Leibovitz did a photo shoot for Queen Elizabeth II. The photographer also photographed the Queen during her 2007 state visit in the U.S.
Meanwhile, the source also stated that the Queen’s photo shoot with her great-grandchildren would be a “lovely way to mark a remarkable 90th birthday.” The source added that Queen Elizabeth II “loves her great-grandchildren” and has been “very proud of them.”
The Queen’s birthday portrait with Prince George and Princess Charlotte may be released in April, according to People magazine. However, the expected release date was not disclosed. Although, given the Queen’s upcoming natal day on April 21, the photo may be released on or before the said date.
