Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly selling one of her Rolls Royce for $2.6 million.

The rare vintage vehicle is similar to the one that Meghan Markle used on her wedding day to Prince Harry on May 19. The 1950 Rolls Royce Phantom IV State Landaulette is so special that only 18 of it were produced by the manufacturer.

Malcolm Barber, the co-chairman of Bonhams, said that he couldn’t think of any of the 18 vehicles that are still in a tip-top shape other than the one owned by the Queen.

“Only very very rarely would cars like this come onto the open market. It’s a jewel in the collection. Rolls Royce motor cars have been present at countless historic events in recent British history, and the Heritage Fleet encapsulates the most significant models produced by the marque,” he told The Telegraph.

The selling of the Queen’s vehicle will take place on Sept. 8. It will also include pieces used by some of the members of the royal family including the late Princess Diana. But the monarch’s car is so special because of its standout features.

Her Rolls Royce features high seats and large windows that made it possible for her and Prince Philip to be seen by royal fans as they drove past them. The vehicle also has a Perspex panel at the back for extra visibility and light. However, the Queen’s car doesn’t have a built-in bar just like Princess Margaret’s vehicle.

And when the Queen was still able to drive around in London, she was typically spotted maneuvering her vehicle on her way to various state occasions and engagements. Now, the monarch is already 92 years old, and she typically heads to different places with the help of her chauffeur.

Bonhams, a privately-owned British auction house, will host the auction at the Goodwood Revival Sale. The three-day event celebrates motor racing.
