Queen Elizabeth II Spotted Feeding Horse During Vacation In Balmoral

Queen Elizabeth II was spotted feeding a horse last weekend while on her way to a hunting trip with her friends.

Her Majesty stopped her Range Rover to feed a chestnut horse with a handful of treats. Kat Clementine, a journalist for Express, said that this is the Queen’s last week in Balmoral since her summer vacation is coming to an end.

During her recent sighting, the Queen was photographed in her grey anorak, a silk headscarf, and a pair of sunglasses. She also inspected her horses on the way back from having lunch at Glen Cova with the Royal Shooting Party.

On her way to the hunting trip in the grounds of Balmoral, the monarch was seen giving her chauffeur a day off. She was the one who drove her Range Rover to the outing. Other than feeding the chestnut pony, the Queen also visited a white horse on the rugged terrain.

In related news, since the Queen’s arrival in Balmoral in August, she has been visited by some members of the royal family like Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and more.

Prince Philip has also been spotted in Balmoral estate, but he has not stepped out in public following his retirement. The Duke of Edinburgh spent most of his time in Sandringham following a hip replacement surgery months ago. Luckily, he was still able to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials on May 19.

Meanwhile, the Queen also regularly goes to the Crathie Kirk chapel in Balmoral on Sundays. Every weekend, she is photographed in her car with some members of the royal family on their way to church.

Her Majesty also made headlines after it was reported that her first cousin, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, became the first royal to have a same-sex marriage. He tied the knot with James Coyle last weekend.

On his Instagram account, Mountbatten wrote (via People), “Well we did it finally! It was an amazing day despite the miserable British weather. Fabulous service conducted by Trish Harrogate, chief Registrar for Devon, who set the perfect but lighthearted tone for what is a serious occasion.”
