Queen Elizabeth May Bestow 'Huge Honor' To Meghan Markle For 38th Birthday
Meghan Markle may get a huge present from Queen Elizabeth II when she celebrates her 38th birthday in August.
Markle and her husband Prince Harry, along with their baby boy Archie Harrison, will reportedly spend her upcoming birthday, Aug. 4, as a family at the royal Balmoral estate in Scotland. However, a royal insider told The Sun that the Duchess of Cambridge will reportedly also be enjoying some quality time with the Queen on her special day.
According to The Sunday Mirror, Queen Elizabeth II will reportedly sit down for afternoon tea with Markle and Prince Harry when the Sussex family stays in their own wing in the estate. Aside from Markle's birthday, this would also mark baby Archie's first getaway from their home, Frogmore Cottage.
A cake just for the former "Suits" actress will reportedly also be prepared by a catering team. According to the insider, the invitation to stay at the estate with the Queen and Prince Philip is a testament of how much the monarch and her husband adore Markle.
"The Queen and Prince Philip adore the couple and, of course, their new great-grandson Archie, and they have invited them to Balmoral for a few days," the royal source dished. "It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It's a huge honour."
It is a yearly tradition of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's to stay at their Balmoral estate during the summer. This is apparently "Her Majesty's favorite home," according to the source, which makes her inviting Markle, Prince Harry and Archie to stay with them "so special and heartfelt."
However, a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Markle's did not confirm the trip nor provided any details when asked for comment.
Markle and Prince Harry aren't the first to receive this kind of invitation from the Queen, however, as Prince William and Kate Middleton have also stayed at the home in the past.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle recently celebrated another milestone in their son's life when they held Archie's christening on Saturday, July 6. The event was attended by most of the royal family members, including Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Middleton and Prince William, according to Town & Country.
Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, also made sure to be there for her grandson's special day.
