  • Royal fans are looking forward to seeing Prince George and Princess Charlotte on Christmas Day

Queen Elizabeth has finally allowed Prince George and Princess Charlotte to join the royal family during their Christmas walk next week.

A source told The Sun that other than the fact that Prince George and Princess Charlotte seem to be mature enough to take part in the church service, Her Majesty reportedly also realized that her great-grandchildren could be her secret weapon.

After a tumultuous 2019, Prince George and Princess Charlotte could help change the narrative and repair the image of the entire royal family.

The public would be more than delighted to see their photos with the other senior royals, and this may divert everyone’s attention from Prince Andrew’s “car-crash” interview and Meghan Markle’s shocking revelation about her struggles.

“Ultimately it’s the Queen who decides who does what on Christmas Day as it is a formal engagement. So perhaps she is conscious that this is a positive way in which to change the narrative,” the source said.

Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, are just the right age for the yearly Christmas walkabout. Prince William was five when he first joined Prince Charles and Princess Diana at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Prince Harry was four when he first attended the Christmas Day service in Sandringham.

Meanwhile, the Queen will reportedly receive support from Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall during the holidays especially while Prince Harry and Markle are away.

According to Express, the Tindalls will join the Queen at the royal family’s festive gathering this year. They have always celebrated Christmas with Her Majesty every since they tied the knot.

The Queen will also be reuniting with her husband, Prince Philip, for the holidays. The Duke of Edinburgh has been staying in Sandringham, and the Queen will also be staying there for a few days.

There are rumors suggesting that Prince Philip’s health is deteriorating especially after he took a wobble in September.
