Queen Elizabeth II and Zara Tindall posed casually in a never-before-seen royal wedding photo.

The Queen was present at Zara’s big day when she exchanged “I dos” with husband Mark Tindall on July 30, 2011. Unknown to many, the bride and the Queen posed casually for an intimate photo during the event, Hello! first reported.

In the rare photo, Queen Elizabeth II looks beautiful in her pink blush dress coat with a matching feathered hat while carrying her signature handbag and white gloves. On the other hand, Zara is stunning in her custom Stewart Parvin wedding dress while holding a glass of champagne.

Queen Elizabeth II and Zara’s picture currently stands in the reception of Holyroodhouse and was spotted by royal fan Elaine Duff. It was reportedly taken just moments after they exited Canongate Kirk.

According to Ingrid Seward, Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite grandchildren are not Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry. The royal biographer felt that Her Majesty is closer to Princess Anne’s children Zara and Peter Philips. She pointed out that they were Queen Elizabeth II’s first grandchildren and have always been her favorites.

The Queen is reportedly more relaxed when she is with them. When Zara was just a child, the Queen used to give her a smack around her legs when she is naughty which happened frequently.

Seward also noted that between the Tindalls and the Cambridges, the Queen prefers Zara and Mike over Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“The Queen gets on well [with Prince William and Kate], but don’t have the same kind of easy-going giggly time with her as Zara and Mike do,” Seward explained.

Queen Elizabeth II and Zara also share the same passion for horses. Her Majesty has invested in several horses and is very happy with Zara for riding horses. They get along well with her racehorse trainers.

On the other hand, Middleton is allergic to horses. In 2009, the Duchess of Cambridge joined Prince William at a society polo match, but she just stayed at the tent in the corner of the field.
