Queen Elizabeth II has a huge jewelry collection, but she has one particular favorite.

The monarch has arguably the best jewelry collection in the entire world. Her vault includes a huge collection of diamond-encrusted tiaras to exquisite brooches, pearl necklaces and earrings.

“The Queen’s jewel vault is huge,” Victoria Howard, founder of the Crown Chronicle said.

“We still get pieces coming out today that we did not know existed,” she continued.

According to Katie Nicholl, “A royal lady is never completely dressed until she has put on her jewels.” Fortunately, they can turn to the Queen’s vault that has so many “iconic pieces.”

Martina Bet of Express believes that there’s one particular item in the vault that the Queen favors. Her Majesty loves Queen Mary’s Button Earrings. The familiar pair of pearl earrings have been used by the monarch for years and it is evident in the pictures taken in the past decades. Queen Elizabeth II can be seen using the accessory during her daytime engagements.

She also wears it during her grandchildren’s royal weddings. Her Majesty used the same earrings on Prince William, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie’s big day.

Kate Middleton has been seen borrowing different pieces from the Queen’s vault. In November 2018, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Tusk Conservation Awards 2018 with a pair of diamond chandelier earrings that feature enormous pear-shaped diamonds with thin strands of gold. The item was originally given to the Queen Mother, but she was never seen wearing it in public.

Unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, Markle hasn’t worn any of the Queen’s collection except for the tiara she wore on her big day. It’s also possible that Markle didn’t borrow any item from the Queen’s vault because she has different taste in jewelry.

Middleton wants more classic pieces. The Duchess of Cambridge is into “royal traditional styling” which can be found in the vault. On the other hand, Markle prefers contemporary bling.

However, there are also rumors that Queen Elizabeth II banned Markle from using her jewelry. Her Majesty was reportedly not pleased with Markle’s demands, especially that she’s just a new member of the royal family. Some sources denied this report and said that it's not true.
