Rachel McAdams has been dating boyfriend Michael Sheen for nearly eight months now since filming for Midnight in Paris wrapped up, but their relationship takes a bit of work, and a lot of air miles, to maintain.

Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart, 33-year-old McAdams told The Sunday Telegraph's Stella of her 42-year-old boyfriend. We rack up a lot of air miles -- but you have to be quite adaptable in this business whether you are in a relationship or not.

Sheen and McAdams met while making Midnight in Paris, but the star did not jump into the relationship like she did with Ryan Gosling while filming The Notebook.

Michael and I didn't get together while we were filming 'Midnight in Paris,' which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working. We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start, McAdams said. I felt very blessed to have made a Woody Allen film in Paris together.

McAdams said that she and Sheen, who she describes as a very funny person, work out their sometimes long distance relationship the old fashioned way: talking it out.

Trying to establish roots somewhere is a bit of a joke. You need to trust each other and be able to talk to each other and be best friends, Rachel McAdams said.
