'Raising Sextuplets' Mom, Jenny McClendon Pregnant
“Raising Sextuplets” star, Jenny McClendon, has announced that she is pregnant. The child that she is having with her new husband brings their brood to nine.
McClendon revealed the news of what will be her seventh child on her blog. Her husband, Levi McClendon, whom she married in March, already had two children from a previous relationship, according to the Daily Mail.
The couple reconnected after Levi saw Jenny on her reality show, “Raising Sextuplets.” At the time, she was married to Bryan Masche. The show followed the then couple’s journey raising their six children, Savannah, Bailey, Grant, Cole, Molli, and Blake that were born at the same time. The series ran for two seasons.
Their marriage subsequently ended when Jenny cheated on Masche with Levi. After marrying in a low-key ceremony on the beach in San Diego, Calif., the couple quickly pondered having a family of their own.
“We knew right away that we wanted to have a baby, to share the experience together (if possible), of a pregnancy and a child of our own,” she wrote.
However, the couple had hurdles to overcome as Levi had undergone a vasectomy and Jenny has a history of fertility problems. After Levi had his vasectomy reversed the couple just hoped for the best, according to Jenny.
“I took a pregnancy test, and after one month of trying to get pregnant… it was POSITIVE!” she wrote.
“I honestly could not believe my eyes and honestly did not believe it was true. I took a few more pregnancy tests over the next week, and much to my surprise, they were all positive.”
Now 29 weeks along, McClendon is expecting a boy, for which she says the other eight children are excited.
“They talk to the baby; kiss the baby; fight over who is going to sleep with the baby, hold the baby and help with the baby,” she wrote.
“We are SO excited, elated and still in shock that we are getting to experience this amazing miracle together and add another precious life to our already precious and abundant brood!”
