Ray J, Princess Love Divorce: ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Hints She's Moved On

"Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Ray J has hinted that wife Princess Love may be ready to move on with someone new.

Ray J filed for divorce on Monday, Sept. 14, just two months after estranged wife Princess, whose real name is Princess Pilipina Love Norwood, filed a "request of dismissal" for her own divorce petition in the Los Angeles Superior Court back in May.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ray J opened up about his divorce and said if there’s someone else his wife wanted to be with, then he’ll respect her decision.

"My wife, if there's somebody better out there that she wants to be with, then I have to respect that as well. But hey, I don't know... I can't say too much, but I love you, Princess. That's what I can say," he said.

Although the divorce is still in the early stages, Ray J said he wanted to make sure his wife and children — 2-year-old daughter Melody and 8-month-old son Epik — are in a good place mentally.

When asked about a possible reconciliation, Ray J said it was too soon to say what the future holds for them. But their primary focus is the well-being of their children.

"Even if we don't make it, we still have to be with each other a lot, because we have a baby, so we're together for life. Happiness is important. I think. I'll sacrifice all my happiness for my kids," Ray J said.

"With that said, we'll just have to wait and see [what the future holds], but I want to make sure that they're in a good space, and that she's in a great space throughout this journey as parents as well," he added.

Ray J and Princess tied the knot in 2016 after dating for a year.

Their relationship went through a rough patch in November last year when they had a fight in Las Vegas. Princess, who was eight months pregnant at the time, accused Ray J of leaving her and Melody "stranded" there without a safe way to get home.

In an Instagram video, she also told her followers that she did not want to be married anymore.

"I don't have time for this. This is not love. And I'm done," she said at the time.

Ray J had slammed his wife for taking their personal matters public but later told "The Wendy Williams Show" that he was committed to becoming a better husband and father.

Ray J had previously dated Kim Kardashian, and the couple became widely known following their 2002 sex tape. He has also dated singers Whitney Houston and Teairra Mari, among others.
