‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ NeNe Leakes Explains ‘Tag Team’ With Porsha Williams At Reunion

During “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 reunion, viewers may have noticed that NeNe Leakes and Porsha William appeared to team up. Although it wasn’t planned, the Swagg Boutique revealed she and Porsha realized they had to stand up to the rest of the cast.

Throughout the episode special, NeNe noticed that she was getting questioned more than the other castmates, so she decided to walk away for the virtual reunion. However, when she returned, she had a plan.

NeNe told Entertainment Tonight that she called Porsha during her break from the “RHOA” Season 12 reunion to Strategize. “When I closed the computer and they ended up going to lunch, I called Porsha. That was the first time we talked about it,” NeNe said.

“I called her and I said, ‘Porsha, I gotta tell you, girl, you are in there, you are killing it. When we go back, you just sit back and be quiet and let me take it from there.’”

NeNe revealed she and Porsha decided to do a “tag team” to handle the questioning and insults from their castmates. NeNe admitted that she was pleased that Porsha almost stole her “queen of reads” title by making the social distancing” comment about Eva Marcille’s breasts.

Although Porsha and NeNe were at war during the previous season, it appears the two are on better terms and content with the state of their mended friendship.

NeNe’s statement comes after she said she was “traumatized” by the virtual reunion and begun speaking with a professional to deal with her emotions.

“I’m seeing a therapist. I’ve had a phone call with the therapist. We haven’t seen each other in person because we can’t, because of quarantine. But, I felt very traumatized,”

“I think, a lot of times, people see the tough exterior, and they don’t really know that you hurt inside sometimes like everybody else.”

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
