'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Star Teresa Giudice To Make Cameos On Her Family's Bravo TV Spinoff
Teresa Giudice will be participating in her family's spinoff series after all. The 43-year-old is currently serving a 15-month prison sentence at a Danbury, Conn. women's facility for fraud. Her husband, Joe Giudice, and their four daughters confirmed they would be starring in a show of their own, but Teresa's level of participation was unknown until now.
According to E! News the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star will be making brief cameos on the show while she is in prison. Unfortunately it seems those cameos will only be over the phone. Sources say the series, which will air on Bravo, is going to feature phone conversations between Teresa, her hubby and their kids: Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana. Bravo’s cameras will not be filming her while in prison.
“Viewers will hear her checking in and talking to her family,” the source said.
Filming for the series began on June 24. As we previously reported, the show is going to focus on Joe and his daughters as they attempt to lead normal lives without Teresa. Rumors first surfaced about the show in April with E! News reporting that Joe was negotiating a deal. Nothing was confirmed until filming began. The series will reportedly film up until the days before Joe begins serving out his own 41-month fraud sentence.
While her family is hard at work on their show, Teresa is keeping busy with projects of her own. The reality star is said to be keeping a diary in prison, which she hopes to one day turn into a memoir. Lawyer James J. Leonard told Us Weekly the book will focus on Teresa "growing up from humble beginnings," and include several stories from her incarceration. Scanned pages from the journal, released by Leonard, show that she is keeping a log of anything that occurs inside the facility, from what she ate one day to who fought in the yard.
Neither the name or release date for the Giudice family's Bravo spinoff has been announced.
