‘Real Housewives Of New York City’ Cast Rumors: Was Carole Radziwill Fired?
Sadly, “Real Housewives of New York City” fans will be forced to say goodbye to cast member Carole Radziwill. The reality star, who first joined the popular show in 2012, has announced Season 10 will mark her last appearance on the series.
On Wednesday, Carole revealed she will be voluntarily leaving the show to focus on a career in a field which she excels in.
“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best — journalism and producing. I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind,” she said in a statement to People.
“My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament,” she explained.
Although Carole admitted to enjoying her time on reality TV, she revealed she wants to move on. “I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind. I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”
During “RHONY” Season 10, Carole’s friendship with Bethenny Frankel fell apart when the journalist began training for the NYC marathon and the Skinnygirl founder started traveling with her bStrong charity.
As the two spent more time apart, their relationship became strained. Carole eventually became offended when she learned Bethenny described their friendship as superficial, and tensions only seemed to escalate from there.
As a result, Carole and Bethenny began arguing both on and off camera, with their feud spilling over to social media, interviews and blogs.
Although the women appeared to be cordial with one another on a previous episode, sources told Us Weekly the friendship is over. “The trust is gone between them,” the insider explained.
“They could coexist again, but not in the way they used to,” the insider added.
Before Carole joined the cast of “RHONY” and became entangled in public feuds, she was dedicated to her career as a journalist. Her coverage on abortions, gun control, foreign policy, missile attacks and more have earned her three Emmys and a Peabody award.
