‘Real Housewives’ Star Luann de Lesseps On Dating: ‘I Don’t Have Time For Boys’
When “Real Housewives of New York City” wrapped last season, Luann de Lesseps was still in love with husband Tom D’Agostino. Fresh after filming the Season 9 reunion special, she and her husband of less than a year called it quits. Now, two months after their divorce has been finalized, the Bravo star is dishing about her love life or lack thereof.
“I’m not really dating. I’m taking time for myself,” Luann told ET Online at Daily Mail’s “Unwrap the Holidays” party in New York City on Wednesday night.
The mother of two said she’s spending her time post-divorce with her children, her friends and looking for an apartment in the city. Luann’s Instagram also reveals she’s been working hard on her fitness training and promoting her new bedding collection.
“I’m getting my life back,” Luann told ET. “I’m just trying to get back on my feet.”
With so much on her plate, the Bravo personality said dating simply isn’t in the cards for her at the moment. “So, I don’t have time for boys right now,” she shared. “But that doesn’t mean I’m dead.”
Luann, whose rocky romance with D’Agostino was shown on Season 9 of “Real Housewives of New York City,” previously credited her divorce to her ex-husband’s unwillingness to change his lifestyle.
“I don’t think he could really give up his bachelor life to lead a married life the way I wanted to,” Luann told Bravo’s Andy Cohen in September. “I expected more. I expected him to change.”
Despite rumors on the show that D’Agostino stepped out on her, Luann told Cohen she believes he was “faithful” during their marriage. “He’s a flirty guy and he’s a social guy and I think people take that the wrong way sometimes,” she explained.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” is said to be returning to Bravo for Season 10 next year. If last season’s cast returns, Luann won’t be the only single star on the series.
In October, it was revealed that series newcomer Tinsley Mortimer had split from her businessman boyfriend Scott Kluth. Star Carole Radziwill also split from live-in boyfriend Adam Kenworthy in August, though she has hinted it may not be the end of their romance.
