  • Real Madrid on-loan player Dani Ceballos wants to stay with Arsenal
  • Ceballos wants Real Madrid to make a decision about his future as soon as possible
  • Arsenal reportedly wants to extend Ceballos' loan deal, but Madrid wants a transfer instead

Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos, who is currently playing for Arsenal, has said he wants to stay at Premier League. However, he is still tied with Los Blancos and wants them to make a decision as soon as possible.

Despite admitting that he has had difficulties adjusting to Premier League, Ceballos insisted that he’s happy to stay with Arsenal. In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Ceballos spoke candidly about his future and urged his parent club, Real Madrid, to review his contract.

“I have to return to Real Madrid and they have to make a decision because I have a contract there for the next three years. Once I know their decision, I will sit down with my family and the people close to me and see what's best for me next year,” Ceballos shared.

“But the truth is I'm very happy at Arsenal. It's a club in which I already have a year of experience, so it would be very easy to return. I wouldn't have to adapt to a new league or new club with a different manager and players,” he added.

During his stint with the Gunners, Ceballos found that Spanish soccer is much more tactical and technical, while English soccer is “a lot more physical.” But after coming back from an injury, the 23-year-old managed to bounce back and make a lot of progress. He has learned to adapt to Mikel Arteta’s system and seems to be enjoying his time at Anfield.

However, Ceballos is aware that he needs to return to Bernabeu and sort things out with Madrid.

"I think it would be a good step for me. But like I said, my future depends on Real Madrid and right now I don't know their decision,” Ceballos said.

Aside from enjoying playing for Arteta, Ceballos also forged a good relationship with the Arsenal boss, whom he referred to as “the mister.” Ceballos has a high regard for Arteta and wants to stay under his wing for a longer period of time.

According to El Confidencial (via Besoccer.com), Arsenal has reportedly suggested to Madrid the option of a new loan deal for Ceballos. The report further revealed that a €20 million ($22.9 million) buyout clause would be inserted in it.

However, the LaLiga champs reportedly prefer a transfer deal rather than a loan extension, a negotiation which is said to be unappealing for the Gunners at the moment.
