Real Story Behind Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Saving Marriage By Following Rules
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban did not save their supposedly troubled marriage through couple therapy nor are they following relationship rules, despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked these reports after speaking to a source close to both of them.
In Touch quoted an alleged insider saying “Keith and Nicole have been through hell and back over the last couple of years and it’s no secret they’ve come close to splitting.” The source then added the two were about to end their marriage earlier this year, however, “after a lot of therapy and imposing a new list of relationship rules, they’ve come out the other side.”
Post the counseling, Urban realized “just how special Kidman is to him” and that “he owes everything to his wife,” the insider said, adding the therapy “helped reawaken their faith in God.”
“They’re embracing their spirituality, which is helping them connect on a deeper level,” the alleged source said.
Speaking about the “new rules” the two have imposed, the magazine contends they have agreed to romantic getaways every few months as well as “regular date nights.”
“They’re back in the honeymoon phase… They feel like they have the right tools, and they’re stronger than ever,” the source added.
Though the source did not give out details about the troubled marriage except that Urban struggled with addiction and went to rehab post their 2006 wedding, the tabloid insisted that Kidman had been concerned “over rumors of his infidelity.”
Gossip Cop checked with a source close to the couple who called the report fabricated.
In August, Gossip Cop had debunked another report appeared in the outlet that falsely claimed the musician and actress had marriage problems because he lied about the identity of a “mystery woman” spotted with him in New Jersey.
It had quoted an insider saying, “This incident is a game changer. It seemed he tripped up by saying it was his sister when he doesn’t have a sister. A scandal like this is the last thing their marriage needs right now.”
Gossip Cop found out the woman was his personal assistant.
Earlier this month, Urban thanked Kidman while accepting the award for Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Awards. "Baby girl, I love you so much,” he told Kidman. This showed their marriage was going strong. In June, the couple celebrated 12 years of marriage.
When asked about the “secret to your marriage longevity” during an interview with Parade magazine, she replied, “Not having secrets. We never tell anybody any advice about their relationship or think that we have a secret. We just approach it with humility and hope and just really love hanging out. I mean it’s that simple. We love spending time together. We have a lot of fun together and we just choose each other.”
