Building on an already false rumor that Katy Perry and her boyfriend Orlando Bloom were engaged, a latest report claimed that the couple was delaying their wedding plans till a prenup agreement was reached. The latest narrative, like the previous one, was debunked.

Life & Style magazine tried to claim in their October issue that Perry and Bloom had gotten secretly engaged in Greece in September. Soon after, Gossip Cop reached out to the “Roar” singer's spokesperson, who rubbished the rumor. However, instead of backing down from its untruthful story, the tabloid chose to use it as a foundation to launch a fresh baseless rumor in a recent report, where it claimed the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor was presented with an “ironclad prenup” by his girlfriend.

In the report, an anonymous tipster was quoted saying Perry was hell-bent on protecting her $365 million fortune before she made any plans to walk down the aisle. It included Bloom agreeing to sign a $2 million cheating and $1 million penalty clause in case their marriage does not work out and he ends their relationship before their second wedding anniversary.

Apparently, Perry needed “to make sure that her money is protected, as well as her dignity,” given her less-than-perfect track record when it came to marriage, the unnamed source claimed. The tabloid then went on to dredge up Perry’s failed marriage to comic actor Russell Brand, which ended after just 14 months.

“Katy suffered humiliation and embarrassment during her split from Russell. She was lucky he didn’t go after her millions, because he could have taken her to the cleaners,” the questionable insider said.

The insider then claimed that the actor was not happy about how Perry had stalled the future of their relationship because of her insecurities about marital life.

“Orlando is madly in love with Katy and wants to marry her, but that doesn’t stop him from being offended. He doesn’t understand why she’s being this way,” the source said.

While People Magazine, a reliable entertainment outlet, reported last month that Bloom was ready to settle down with Perry, the couple had announced no plans of doing so publicly.

“She hasn’t put any pressure on their relationship lately, and everything is just easy. Being with Katy makes Orlando very happy,” a source told People. “In the past, he seemed so scattered and unwilling to settle down. He is like a new person now and everyone is excited for him.”

Also, Gossip Cop contacted Perry’s rep once again, who confirmed for the second time that she was not fighting over prenup with Bloom because they were not even engaged yet.
